Uni and Photography!

I've been MIA for a looooooong time. Really sorry for no update at all but if you follow me on Twitter and Instagram @theavu you would know I'm still alive.


So I'm officially a 2nd year Fashion student now! No more Fresher, no more "1st year student doesn't know how to do this shit". Second year is extremely hard and stressful and at this stage I personally think who don't have a passion for what they are doing will find themselves lost. Luckily I'm not! I don't have enough time to sleep and play around like 1st year but I'm more excited about all the projects. No more nonsense stuffs. Because I'm enjoying my course so much so if you guys see me hardly update I really sorry but it will happens because I'm also looking for an internship for my placement year as well. Woo hoo fashion industry here I come.

Btw for a very long time no update I did finally got time to do a photoshoot with one of my new model name Lan Ly. She's gorgeous but this is my first time working with her so it's not my best yet. But still! Hope you enjoy this photo inspired by the lovely autumn. I'll post more in the next post! Thank you for stopping by.xx

Untitled

Such a long time since my last photography post. Just simply because I didn't take any new pictures :( UK weather sucks! Everytime I plan to bring my camera out it just has to rain! I have all my respect for all the artists based on UK, you guys still manage to be creative in this depressing weather.

But I'm not lazy, I still edit lots of old pics and post them on my Flickr, but I forget to post them on this blog. So...here you go, one pic but untitled because I have no idea what should I call it lol.

I just back from London! I really love this city can't wait to move there for placement and working ^^~ . And of course when I was in London I have to hav a photoshoot with Mai - my muse all time. I love to shoot with her, she is not a professional model or something like that but she know how to pose, know how to look effortless beautiful in front of camera. My job is so much easier when I work with someone like her ^^~ And also I'm pretty sure my Nikon-chan loves her lol, her pictures always in the best condition haha.

Flavor of life

The first day of February was a wonderful day to me. I joined as a stylist in the very first photoshoot in studio in UK with a team that I had never work before, I had always work with a team in Vietnam with professional make-up artist, hair stylist, models and photographers are my friends for a long time so it was easier to work with them. But the shoot today was amazing and I got many new experiences that I think very useful for my future. And I think I should start designing and print my business card! Everyone have their own but I don't have one.... how amateur... This weekend I'll do it! Today Lisa Eldridge was nice enough to retweet my review about her No.7 limited collection, almost scream on the shoot because of happiness. She caused very high view for my blog today... if this crap blog become popular in the future, the reason is Lisa. Thank you x

I'm feeling good and producing some nice design development for visual studies class. Well good mood cause good things haha. I feel blessed and lucky, what did I do in the previous life to be this lucky? Must be a hero who saved 1 billion people or secure dolphins lol. However here are 2 new pictures I just edit. I tried new tone and kind of like it so much. Hope you have a nice day, life is like dark chocolate, just dare to try and patient to taste it, the sweetness will come <3

Meanwhile in Paris

I had been to Paris 5 years ago. Well, as all your imagination about pretty Paris, this city is interesting with a romantic scent. But I'm not really like it, I don't know why maybe because of people there (not racist). It's hard to explain but for my the impression about a city based on 50 city itself : 50 people live there, and I don't feel comfortable with French people (not all ok, I do have some French friends). No need to tell you how annoying their airport, never in my life have to queue in a long time to check my handy luggage, freaking-4-and-a-half-hours.

But still, I have to admit that Paris is a pretty city, pretty shops, and the houses and hotels is the dream for any woman, or guys ( if you are gay and love girly things, I know some gay guys like manly things). I like their well-known macaroon, it's taste good, pretty package <3 Here are 2 photos from a box of macaroon I bought when I transit in Paris.

This post is unusual for me since I want this blog is more about photography, beauty, fashion. But I can NOT write about it since the person I mention below is one of the most influence artist in my life. Since I know him, love his work, and become a fan, it changed the way I feel about art, and open me a door to a new sky line that I never think that I could reach it. I copied from my Facebook when I wrote it last night just in case you are wondering about the time.

Feel guilty when I just read about Jose Villa's wedding 2 minutes ago. Yes it's HIS wedding. I'm almost cry now.


Jose Villa has been my most favorite photographer in the whole world. He's the BEST fine art wedding photographer, and also does amazing work at portrait, he only shoot with film - which I can't do. He captures LOVE, find out hidden BEAUTY and keep MOMENTS in his photo. He inspires me to become a photographer who take picture with the heart.


He and his partner, Joel Serrato has been together for 7,5 years, they work together in a wedding service team and I have to say their work is just ART. Their book about fine art wedding photography is breath-taking. How could they find each other in this world?! I wonder when could I find not a lover but soulmates in art like them?

Something new?

I've been busy with uni. Well, even I'm still a student but I can see how will fashion industry be, very busy. I'm doing some project, not sure about the result, but we'll see later :). Just some more photos from the shoot with Nabiha. I just had another one today but my clients are not willing to publish, so I respect their wish and can't post it here. Hope everybody have a nice weekend. Btw I'm thinking about a tripod and ring light, I want some selfcam pics lol.

the beginning

Such a long time since I have the "real" blog. I also have a beautiful one in livejournal but hope you enjoy it here too ^^.
Just few information about me so you guys could know me better.

- Call me Thea, it's my English name.
- My hometown is Hanoi,Vietnam. I'm studying Fashion Design in United Kingdom.

- Born in 1990, but just a little girl inside.
- I love everything about art, music, animals

 I've learned about art especially drawing for my whole life. My parents have a strong art background so I grew up with pencils and drawing paper all around, they didn't lead me into art but I just have a strong connection with color and every hidden beauty. I chose Fashion as my future since I was 4-5 years old and I always proud of it that while my friends still enjoy their childhood, teenage years and didn't think too much about future, I was pratice everyday to prepare for the day I come to UK to study. I'm suck at socialise but don't worry, I was born as an awsome writer too haha, just feel free to talk with me about art, beauty and music.
